Tips To Changing Your Baby’s Diaper
Many of us think that putting a diaper on a child is a simple thing to do. All you do is wipe them off and put the new one on while they lay there waiting for you to finish. What most people don’t know is that this process is not as easy as it looks. Some may find that changing boys is easier than girls while others will find it the other way around.
We have discovered a few important tips that will help you no matter which child you have.
Girl:
- Make sure that you clean from the top of the labia down to the anus. This way she will not get infected. Also make sure to clean between the folds.
- Gently wipe away anything that may be in the vagina area.
- If you have a really big mess to clean up rinse her off – but don’t use soap. This can cause a urinary tract infection in many girls.
Boy:
- To avoid getting sprayed place a washcloth or clean diaper over his penis.
- Make sure to lift up and clean everything under his scrotum each time that you change him.
- When you close the diaper make sure his penis is facing down so he won’t have an accident.
